The average American would more quickly volunteer for a hot pizza delivered to their couch than a mile ocean swim, 44 mile bike ride and 10 mile run. Hmmm... Three mile brisk jog or a bag of potato chips? Is that even a question?
As it turns out, choosing the run is not so uncommon. USA Triathlons boasts half a million members- not all of them with arms and legs. These athletes, known as “challenged athletes,” volunteer to complete the triathlon with their four limbed competitors. How do they do it?
